本課程為從未學過華語的學生所開設，旨在習得華語的聽、說、讀、寫四大語言基本技能，奠定語音、語詞、句型及基礎語法等語言知識，使其具備「生存技能」的華語溝通能力。

This course aims to help students acquire the four basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in Chinese, lay a solid foundation for language knowledge such as phonetics, vocabulary, sentence patterns and basic grammar, and enable them to have the "survival skills" of Chinese communication ability.
